Online Spanish classes are a great way to get some one-on-one personalized time and you plan classes around your schedule. You have flexibility and they are lenient if you need to reschedule.

Learning a new language is difficult and requires a lot of self-discipline. Taking a course online, without the motivation of other students or the reality of traveling to a school, will help give you the discipline needed to learn a new language.

Acquiring Spanish language is important when living in another county. In 4 months of taking online Spanish classes you will be very well taught with a  real sense of self-discipline and be able to easily communicate with the people in Costa Rica.

Online courses allows you and the teacher to rely on your voice to be understood rather than on body language or other non-verbal context clues. You will become better at understanding people when they speak. The teacher will also work on your pronunciation and tone so you will be understood.

For some students, interacting online is more comfortable. Because the classes were private, I found that I developed a great relationship with my teacher.

Spanish classes online can be a great option for everyone who can’t travel to Costa Rica and participate in a Spanish immersion program. They’re flexible and are effective at getting students to practice both speaking skills and listening comprehension.

Duolingo is one of the most popular apps in the world for learning Spanish, and for good reason. It’s totally free app and a cool course designed for learning Spanish, people rave about it.

Let’s start by covering the cost of Duolingo’s Spanish program, as this is one of the main reasons why so many people are drawn to this app. As many of you may know, Duolingo is free.

However, before you go running off to sign up for Duolingo as your language program of choice, know that there are definitely some limitations around the free version. The free version is ad-supported, there are daily caps on your program usage and you’re forced to follow a very strict but fun curriculum before you can move ahead.

Duolingo uses your typical free software subscription and makes their money through paid, premium subscriptions. And if you do opt for their paid subscription, Super Duolingo, it will cost you right around $84 per year.

And let's be straight, Duolingo dictates the order in which you complete units. New units only become active once you’ve completed the previous one and the same is true for the individual lessons.

All in all, there’s a lot to like about Duolingo. This Spanish learning app is free, there’s a decent variety of drills and exercises and the digital platform is top-notch and is a must get and you won’t be disappointed.

If you really want to get serious about learning Spanish and you really plan on dedicating a good chunk of your time to achieving some high levels of fluency, then look into Babbel, Pimsleur and Rocket Spanish.
